Happy Earth Day!!!  Do something wonderful for the environment today!  (Walk, Recycle, Don't buy Bottled Water, etc.)...  We only have this one planet to live on & I must admit that Mother Earth is VERY Cool!!  She's my homegirl & love her!!  Here are a few of my reasons for wanting a happy, healthy planet!

Taking a Moment...

Well hey there!  So one month ago today was the night that Chase was diagnosed with Leukemia..  The moment that changed the path of my family forever.  The past few days have been really hard on me.  Clinic was rough on Monday, seeing sick babies every week is starting to take its toll...  I look at all of these children and parents and can't help but think "Why?"  I had an emotional weekend and it was just the last straw on my pile of emotions I guess you could say.  Being the strong, unbreakable, positive Mommy all the time is really hard!  So I am having a week where I don't have to be the strong one, I'm leaving it up to Shawn for the next few days.  I'm having a quick little pitty party and then I'll be back to my positive ways by the weekend!  But for now I am just exhausted!  Muah, love you all and once again thank you so much for all of the support!!!

Chasing The Cure Carnival!

Hey ya'll!!  So my amazing friends have set up a Carnival for our Chaser Man!!  It will be on May 22nd (Saturday) at the Sharing Place (1695 East 3300 South, SLC)...  I hope that you all can make it!  It will be such a fun activity to do with your family, it will also be a great celebration for Chase's fight over Leukemia!  Let me know if any of you would like to volunteer or if you have anything that you would like to donate to the silent auction or just help out in any other way!!  There will be hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, a clown, a magician, a cake walk, a bake sale, tonz of cool stuff for the raffle and a silent auction (and we've got some goodies lined up)!!  Thanks again for all of the support everyone!  Can't wait to see you there!!!

REMISSION!

Wow!  So today we got the news that we didn't think we would get to so soon!  Chase is in Remission!  His Bone Marrow is Cancer FREE!  In 2 weeks he will start his new protocol that he'll be on for the next 6 months and then he will still be on maintenance chemo for at least 2 & 1/2 years...  But we know that he will be fine!  This is the BEST Birthday Present I've ever recieved!!  My baby boy will be fine!  I've never been so happy to pay hospital bills in my life!!!!!!!  I believe in believing!

Well, it's been a YEAR & there's so much to tell!

One year ago today my loving Father in Law, Kim Hunter lost his battle with Alzheimers..  At the time I thought that was the hardest thing my family would ever go through..  Well surprise, now we are going through what really is the hardest!  I just wanted to repost a few things about my Daughters namesake and look back on this anniversary.  He was far to young to have died, especially of Alzhiemers!  He was a true father and an amazing husband!  One of the first times I ever really talked to him he told me how he and Connie were childhood sweetharts and how he can't remember one minute of his life not loving her!  I knew in that moment that I would marry Shawn!  What an amazing example he had!  I have always felt so honored to be a wittness to the Love that Connie & Kim shared...  It was like a fairytale, sure they had there struggles over the years as everyone does but those were barely even paragraphs in their love story!  Since he left us we have welcomed our amazing daughter and Shawn's brother and his wife had a beautiful baby boy, Grahm.  We have had so much to celebrate this passed year along with so much that we would like to forget...  But I guess sometimes you have to take the good with the bad...  We are doing all right!

Head Shavin Partay!!!

So on Friday we had Chase's Head Shavin Party!!  It was a BLAST!  We BBQ'd, we laughed, we cried, we swept up ALOT of hair!!  We raised $408 and my cousin Britnee shaved 23 heads in 2 hours!!  (She was such a trooper!  Special thanks to her!).  We did it in our garage because it was FREEZING outside!  I never knew that a garage could have such an incredible energy!  Thank you so much family & friends for your support of Chase & our family!  I love you all!  My cup runneth over!
